The engine in this Triumph Mayflower should look reasonably familiar to Herald and Spitfire owners. I don't think this was the original engine it was an older design with an aluminum head from the Standard Flying 10. The original engine thought of as quite under powered even when new so I suspect later engine transplant improves the car.
